Before the Fall

Before the Fall is a sculpture that reflects the moment just before tragedy strikes. It features a taxidermied doe’s head inside a glowing box, representing the calm and beauty of nature. The body of the doe is made from wooden slats, symbolizing the fragility of life. Inside the figure, a plush Bambi toy is visible, capturing the innocence of childhood and the bond between mother and child.

The title refers to the time before Bambi loses his mother, a moment of peace before everything changes. This work highlights the contrast between innocence and the inevitable loss that comes with life. It invites viewers to reflect on the brief, quiet moments before tragedy.
